Actually, Thomas Gottschalk wanted to have a nice chat with Shirin David on "Wetten, dass..?" - but the rapper let him run up after a saying.
Offenburg – Thomas Gottschalk (73) certainly did not expect this reaction. On November 25, 2023, an era will come to an end - because the presenter will be in front of the camera for the last time for "Wetten, dass..?" He has invited some celebrity guests to the finale and takes the opportunity to chat with them on the couch. But with a feminism saying, the TV star Shirin David (28) quite annoyed.

At "Wetten, dass..?", rapper Shirin David first performed the new version of "Atemlos" together with Helene Fischer (39). After the performance, the two musicians were allowed to sit on the couch with the presenter and his other guests. However, a supposedly nice chat quickly degenerated into an unpleasant discussion. Shirin David felt attacked by Gottschalk.

"Which I would never have thought, Shirin, but they tell me you're an opera fan? (...) I wouldn't have looked at you," the 73-year-old begins a casual conversation. But he apparently doesn't expect the YouTube star's counter-question. "Why not?" asks Shirin. With his answer, however, Thomas Gottschalk makes everything even worse. "I don't know either. I wouldn't have looked at you as a feminist either," he tries to explain. "Why not? Because I look good?" the "The Voice" judge asks provocatively.

The TV star can't really save the day. Although he emphasizes that he is also a feminist, he still gets an announcement from the rapper, who feels visibly attacked. "I want to say that as feminists, we can look good and we can be smart and eloquent and beautiful at the same time – one does not exclude the other," she says. "You're right," Gottschalk simply agrees.
Even if the cult presenter can't always score points with his statements - for the fans he remains the figurehead of the show.
